Preparational groundworks for the installation of a ground source heat pump, with the ground array, the flow and return trenches, header trench and connections to the plant room. The pipework was installed at a depth of 1m, the specially designed slot trencher can trench the ground arrays in a quick and less intrusive manner. Certain parts of the route were dug with an excavator, such as the header trench, depending on the nature of the area and when excavating near any existing services great care was taken. Working alongside renewable energy installers, once pipes had been installed and the system had been checked, the backfill was completed.
